Not sure but....

I am thinking of no longer using this blog, but just using the one I post most often on, I don't have enough of a life to run both blogs, I will keep this one open though in case I find combining the two is just not working :)

So click "HERE" to be taken to my other blog :)

Love Every Body - Part 3

I missed part two, it was the first Sunday of Jan, and we had, had a pretty rough time, so gave it a miss, am hoping to do a catch up on it soon :)

Anyway this months theme is "Shoulders, Arms & Hands"

My shoulders are very broad, and not just because I am fat, yes I said that dreaded word fat, but hey there is no denying it I am fat - anyway I digress back to the topic, as I was saying my shoulders are broad, that has come from many years doing swimming 6 days a week, I was a strong swimmer and in my younger days I did many competitions so my shoulders were very important in to me then, they saw me win a few competitions. They were good for me when I broke my ankle many a time and had to use crutches,  now they are there, just a part of me - I tend to ignore them most of the time now...

Arms well I quite like my arms, well did used to like my arms, up until 3 years ago, they did many things, they cuddled my children, helped to make with my hands many lovely food dishes, wrote many essays, got me through school, used them daily for exercise and swimming and many other things I enjoyed. I used them everyday for many years not even noticing they were there -  and up until 3 years ago, I took them for granted. 5 years ago, I broke my leg again, this time it didn't heal (I will elaborate more on that when we do the leg section), and I was diagnosed with "Complex Regional Pain Syndrome" (CRPS), and then 3 years ago, I had a pushbike accident and needed surgery on my left wrist, this then spread the CRPS to my left arm, which soon mirrored itself to my right arm. Somedays I love my arms but most days I hate them now, they are in constant pain thanks to the CRPS, but having said that, though they are in pain all the time, life is so much easier with arms, and I would not be without them, I can still hug the puppy with them, and can still give the children (well young adults a hug with them) and though some days they piss me off big time, I would much rather have pain with arms than no pain with no arms (though I am sure I would adapt with no arms like other people do). They also hold my charm bracelet which has charms that are important to me on it, so I look at the charms and they give me lovely memories. I don't like the top of my arms, and tend to cover them but am trying to remedy this :)

Hands, I hated them for many years, they are chubby and always didn't want any attention given to my hands.... they are still chubby, but now I take pride in them, I get a manicure done regularly, I use hand cream daily, I make sure they always have lovely nail polish on them, I know longer hide them. Even with CRPS they still do me well, occasionally they decide to piss me off and will make me drop things but generally they are pretty good hands.

All the three together work nicely together, they all combine together to dress me, do my make-up, do my hair, and all those other little things that make me feel beautiful, so though at times individually they can annoy me, without the three of them working together life would be so much harder.

So there you have it, though I moan occasionally about my shoulders, arms and hands - life would be so much harder if I didn't have any part of them :)

Today....

for some of us in New Zealand, it is Auckland Anniversary weekend, so David's sister and hubby and her daughter came over to Rotorua and we went out to lunch at "Okere Falls Store" in Rotorua, if you are ever in Rotorua go and check them out, they are an eccentric shop, full of lovely food, vegan, organic, wheat free, gluten free, you name it they will cater for you.

I did not get a full photo, bugger it all but did get a facial shot before I left, even have matching nail polish to the hair...

Headband is from a market, the T-shirt is from ASOS Curve last year, and my pink hairs still pink lol - I have booked a haircut for the 7th of Feb, so am hoping most of it will have washed out by then, will need to get my roots done :)

I am a bit slow when it comes to make-up, especially stuff which you can not get in mainstream shops, anyway found a place that sells Urban Decay and Tarte - so I have ordered these and they should arrive this week :)

I ordered the "Urban Decay" naked palette 2, will order 3 and 1 over the next month or so :)

I ordered this as well from "Tarte" (Well got them of Trade Me - NZ equivalent of E Bay)

Tomorrow as I have a couple of days off before study starts for Exams, I am going to go through all my make-up and throw out all the old stuff, and stuff I just won't use anymore. As stuff runs out, I am going to replace it all with animal friendly products and as natural as possible products.

Anyway thats it from me for now, will try and do an outfit post this week sometime :)

Nails, Nails Lovely Nails...

Due to personal circumstances I had to wait 5 weeks to get my nails redone, today she only did the acrylics and I painted them when I got home as I wanted to change the colours around in the next few weeks, so opted out of a gel polish this time round. Needless to say for 5 weeks they lasted quite well apart from 2 nails, I painted them black in the last week so you could not see how shabby they were starting to look lol.

But am so pleased to have them looking 100% good again, well if you ignore the mistakes when I painted them :)

The colour I have on is "Lava Lamp", I think it is an older colour so am unsure if it is still available in New Zealand.

I try and buy animal friendly products as much as possible, and a while ago, discovered "The Color Club"  Its a shame it is quite hard to find Color Club nail polish in New Zealand, well in the areas I live it is hard to find them. I use "Natio top and base coat" which I also love.

"From swatches, to meetings, to magazine collages...there's never a dull day here.   Founded in 1979, Color Club was initially created for salons and industry big wigs.   Today, our formula remains the same, using only the highest quality ingredients.  With almost 35 years of experience in the industry, Color Club is not afraid to go into unchartered territory to bring you the most innovative and trend-setting nail colors.  From the boldest neons to the most radiant holographics, Color Club nail lacquers come in every shade under the sun. Forsythe is renowned for its exceptionally safe products - all nail colors are vegan, Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and paraben-free - and made in New York, NY with the best raw materials. Naturally, our made in the USA products are not tested on animals".

Just went on the NZ colour club site and found this.....

Color Spike Temporary Hair Color Paste colours in one application and washes out instantly giving you vibrant hair colour without commitment. With nine fast-drying vibrant colours to choose from, there’s a hair colour for every wild occasion!
Available in 60ml tubes and a 36pce display. Purple, Green, Red, Ultra Violet, Orange, Blue, Yellow, Pink and White.
Contains no Ammonia, no peroxide and is non-staining

OMG I am going to find this and try it, it would be awesome for just a one night out, or I can change my hair daily, or I could use Manic Panic Dye Heard hair color styling gel :)

Anyway thats it from me, if you know of places that sell a great range of colour club in New Zealand, please let me know :)

Have a nice rest of the week :)

Later:

After getting excited about colouring my hair, I remembered I had some "Fudge Paintbox" in the draw, so got the urge to colour my hair pink - it is more of a cerise pink than in the photo will get some photos in daylight tomorrow or on the weekend. When I first saw it I was in shock, but am used to it now, and by the time it washes out, my roots will need bleaching again so perfect timing :)

Oh and a plug for the lady who does my nails, if you live in the Rotorua area, check out "Get Nailed", Rochelle is brilliant :)

Outfit post :)

On the weekend David and I went to the "Sound-shell Market", and then we went to a car fair, and after that we went out for lunch.

If you want to read more about the day check out my other blog "here"

This is what I wore...

Top - "Farmers"
Leggings - "Farmers"
Shoes - "Number 1 Shoe Warehouse" (Last years purchase)

Headband - "The Rainbow Shop" Byron Bay
Pentagram Necklace - "Skingraft"
Earrings - Not Sure - Market Maybe

And no I don't have a white spot or huge pimple on my face in the bottom photo, it was a reflection of something :)

I got so many compliments for my headband, am so glad I have two of them so when one breaks or starts looking tatty I have a spare....

On Wednesday I get my nails done, it has been 5 weeks and not one has broken, though one is cracked but still holding on. I normally don't leave them for 5 weeks, but with our dog sick last week, I changed it to the following week.

Anyway thats it from me, have an awesome rest of the week :)

Another outfit post....

I had got into a rut for a while there, which meant I did not go out much at all, and if I did then I never bothered with my appearance, which made me feel insecure in public, this year I want to get back into the habit of going out and making an effort with clothes, makeup etc....

Today because of all the crap we have been going through this year, we had a belated wedding anniversary lunch, and went for a look around the "Rotorua Museum", this is what I wore...

Inside this skirt looked black but the photo below shows it's actual colour.....

See the difference with the light, not the best of photo's but am trying to teach hubby how to use the camera :)

T-Shirt - ASOS Curve
Skirt - Holy Clothing
Coffin Handbag - Can be purchased at Brutalitees

Here is a close up of the coffin handbag, I love it and am thinking of getting another one in black and white :)

Coffin Necklace - Skingraft
Earrings - Ummm can not remember, think it was the local market
Am wearing a daisy headband which you can't see, forgot to take a photo of it bugga

We had a nice day out and if you want to read more about it check out my other "blog"

Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend :)
